I knew at a very early age that I wanted to be an artist. I was always very observant of others, and was constantly attempting to transfer these observations on paper. My teachers were quick to recognize my gift, and I won several awards during elementary and high school. In 1995, I was accepted into the honours fine art and art history program at McMaster University. I attended for two years, and then decided to leave before graduating. While I knew I would stand to benefit from the experience of my professors and fellow students, I had concluded that I am my greatest teacher, and I would achieve my goals through trial, error, and endless hours of practice.
Practical reasons led me on a different career path, all the while wanting to paint full time. I have since made the decision to work towards my dream of a full time career in the arts.
I come by my creative talent naturally, as I am niece to the internationally acclaimed painter and sculptor Leslie B DeMille, and also a relative of the late film director, Cecil B DeMille.
I live in Ancaster, Ontario with my husband Lou and my son Noah. I can't wait to start painting my new model!
